"Ermin", or "Stoat"
These little and cute animals are white in winter, brown in summer. The end of their tail is black all the year. I took a few photos of this one at the border of a village called Les Enfers (The Hells), near Montfaucon (Falconmount), in the Franches-Montagnes (Free-Mountains). It was running near one of our houses and I've just had enough time to switch my camera on and take a few photos while it was stopping and looking around. I hope I'll see it again when I'll spend a few days in The Hells. Manipulations : frame added, name added, resized by dA Ces petites bestioles sont blanches en hiver, brunes en été. Le bout de leur queue est noir toute l'année. J'ai pris une photo de cette hermine en bordure d'un village nommé Les Enfers, près de Montfaucon, dans les Franches-Montagnes. Elle courait près d'une de nos maisons, et j'ai tout juste eu le temps d'allumer mon appareil photo et de prendre quelques photos pendant qu'elle faisait une pause et regardait autours d'elle. awesome shot. I wish the "ermin" was more in focus.
I had not set the autofocus correctly (it was set to "multiple measures"). It tried to focus on most of the photo instead of its center.
I may see this ermin again, so I may take a better photo of it ... if I'm lucky
